Title:
Shifting the course of Sagreschool blogfrom English to PortugueseNew texts will be focusing in Portugal Home News, written in Portuguese, while the Sagres Saga stands alert in the backgroundAfter not receiving a single comment back, in the first weeks of launching a blog in English with
news about Portugal, which focused on the heritage at Sagres - where Prince Henry the Navigator set up the first international centre of studies, to prepare the various expeditions which opened new sea routes to Mankind, during the golden (15th) century of Portuguese Discoveries, and at the same time while as Florence was the capital of the Renaissance Art Style, which spread out through the Western world a new advanced concept of culture and beauty - I almost gave up this project. But now I am willing to give it a second opportunity.
I had thought this was an excellent means of spreading the word in the world's most accessible language (and soon with good pictures, I trust) about the beauty of Sagres and the surrounding Vincentine Coast, along the most preserved Algarve and Alentejo beaches. I also thought this networking idea would be able to develop increasing international interest about Life in Portugal, through the weekly press analysis I provided. But I was wrong.
Therefore, I'll be posting the next blogs in Portuguese, knowing that this shift will reduce eventual comments to Portuguese speaking bloggers. But please take note: don't let the language be a barrier which stops you to address comments either about Sagres, the Algarve or Portugal. I am always willing to be an active web correspondent - provided comments become available and deserve a suitable reply or possible explanation. The service I provided apparently has served no one. Maybe in Portuguese, I'll be more successful. Thanking you for your attention!
